What does it look like for a community of women to come together and unify in prayer? What does it look like to drop the lines of separation and stereotypes and just be one body of women for Christ? What kind of impact can it have on a city? What kind of impact does it have on a region?
God is showing me an urgent call to bring the women of KC together to pray. He is showing me the waves of impact that far outreach anything we can imagine, the ability to touch generations to come that we will not even know about. He wants to bless our city, He wants to be invited back in. The Kansas City area has staggering statistics of church to people numbers, Johnson County has 400 people per capita to each church. The national average is closer to 200 to 1. We are along the corridor of unthinkable and horrible realities. Our highways intersect and bring many predators and traffickers through our very city.
What would happen if we came together in unity over the roads of our city? What would happen if we came together in unity over our school systems? What would happen if we came together in unity over our churches and families? What if we gave this city back to God, humbled ourselves and sought His face together?
Prayers should be said with the express intentionality of expecting to see them come to light, to come to life. We have been given authority, we carry the name of JESUS, the most powerful name in the universe. What if we learned to use it, wielding the sword of truth along with it? Faith is doing what we believe…walking it out.
What if when we come together, united, humbled, expecting, what if GOD REVEALED HIMSELF? What if we saw the answers to our prayers? What if cars carrying abducted women/children start to breakdown and people are found as a result of driving on our highways? What if drugs were found and confiscated before they could be sold? What if conviction fell on those not in relationship with God, and they started seeking an answer? What if families began to mend, to heal from past damage and they begin to live out the very things God tells us to do? What if our land and our families are healed? I believe with my entire being that this is possible, this is doable, and all we have to do is get together and stand in unity, praying the same prayers, knowing our identity as Christ’s daughters.
God’s touch brings undeniable, instant change. God can fortify this city, God can unify this city and God can use this city of fountains as an example to those who will pay attention.
It is time for BIG, BOLD prayers.
